Human attempts to be like Christ are a poor persons’ gospel. The Living Way to be like Christ is to live the eucharist – which is to say that Jesus imbues our flesh with His Spirit. The nature of Christ then grows to be the nature of us. This is what Paul named as our riches in Christ.

Externalities whether secular or religious to not change human beings. That which makes a difference to our nature is Christ woven into our being. This is what makes males gentleman rather than violence addicts.

It rightly diminishes any human response that is merit-based and therefore burdensome, but it also affirms human action in its proper place as a free and
joyful participation by the Spirit in what God has already accomplished in Christ.” (1)
This living way means that Christ is manifest in us and that as sons/daughters we are an expression of God in actuality – not just poetically. You can be an expression of Christ.
