THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

THEOSIS IS YOURS

‘When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory’ Col 3.4 NIV. A key aspect of this ‘glory’ is the maturing of the self as the expression of Christ.

The healing of our separation from God began with the birth of Jesus. The first Christmas was the start of the new birth of the world from Adam into Jesus Christ. The cross marks the at-one-ment of man and God. Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of the world – the start of the new creation. The new creation is made real in you by Christ in you – Christ come in our flesh to be revealed in our being.

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT

The incarnation – the basis of our life in the spirit of sonship - is the inheritance of the cross and the root of Godliness and theosis, which is our participating in the divine nature. When we eat bread and drink wine they become us. The bread does not become our clothes or our hat. Similarly when we do what Jesus says and ‘eat Him to live because of Him’ He becomes us. He does not become religion. Christ your life means Christ your life. Not something religious or legalistic. The result is a new you and the church as the ‘one new man.’ This is the real Body of Christ.

THE REAL SELF STANDS UP

Leanne Payne observes, “
A new self, with one face, turned up to God, seeing and hearing with singleness of heart, is born. Christ, the Word, comes to birth and is formed within that soul, and there is therefore the capacity to communicate with the Father. In this way, we find a new self (or new nature, or new man). We have been brought into Christ, and Christ into us. Completion. There is a profound beauty and simplicity in this way of getting a self, of finding healing and wholeness.” (1)

This is the living way to be a person. The one new way to wholeness and the only genuine whole person approach to Godliness and human grace.
