Workers multiply religion. Sons of God multiply spirit and life. We can do better than a generalized religious effort. We inherit the authority and nature of being to be agents of spirit and life. All have the potential to do what Father is doing when Jesus is our life. Yet this is not because of the cross. It is because of the incarnation which is the life of the Spirit in us and us in the Spirit.

The cross is the door. But Jesus is the life. The incarnation is the trinity in us that make life in the Spirit real. The cross means the death of old Adam. In Adam all die and in Adam all remain dead in spirit. In Christ all are made alive in their spirit.

‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life’ John 6.63 NIV. We can speak dead words and live a dead life when the law is our life. When we live in the finished at-one-ment we live in the oneness with God that is ours.

The Lord’ Table is the sign and reminder that the cross has resulted in our becoming one with God in Christ. The message of the bread and wine is that we have become one substance with God in Jesus Christ. The Eucharist means Christ is our life.

The resurrection means the new Adam is reigning in you and the church. The new Adam is the Father of humanity as the Son of Man in the sons and daughters of men. The Last Adam in you is new creation life. The law in you is a religious lie.

Jesus had the Spirit without limit because He was a member of the trinity and one with our Father. He needed no special endowment of spiritual gifts since He was the Source of them. He was never an orphan and had no need of a Comforter because He lived in the fullness of trinitarian life and enjoyed its communion, comfort and agency. In the new covenant, we are no longer separated from God and no longer orphans. We are in fellowship with the trinity because we in Jesus we have a similar kind of communion that the trinity have with each other. We are enfolded in God.

Christ’s union is our union because we have been drawn into the family of God in His person. Our anointing comes from the Spirit of Sonship - not Sonship from the anointing and the gifts. Christ our life, our life in the family of God is the essence of the new covenant. Because His physical body was given for us we are now a part of His spirit body anointed at Pentecost with oneness with Him and power from on high.

‘Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them’ John 14.23 NIV.

Our new covenant reality is that we have this life, this grace, this righteousness, this fellowship in the One who is our life. But here’s the bonus. Father son and holy Spirit are in you. They manifest themselves through you and fellowship with you. Through no work of your own you live in intimacy with God in His fullness.

Jesus trusted Father unconditionally. He triumphed where Adam had failed. Jesus only did what Father was doing. He accomplished all that Father had set for Him to do. He did this because they were one. This Jesus is for us and lives in us. We need to agree that He is our life and cease living in lesser things and in shadows. There is a reality in which to live that ids Christ our life – the trinity incarnated in our being. This not from ourselves but from God who loves us.

Since Jesus is our life, shun substitutes and repent of religion. Religion killed Jesus but in His cross, we got our life. Just live it.

‘Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.’ Col 2.16,17.
