IT'S NOT RELIGION
‘When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory’ Col 3.4 NIV. Christ is our life. We do not need to make Him so. He has made Himself so since He is in us and with us.
I received this email from the Center for action and contemplation yesterday. It said, “Amid all the activity.. we invite you to slow down and consider how to be more present to God who comes hidden in the ordinary moments of your life.
NO BABY CHRIST FOR YOU
“When we speak of Advent or preparing for Christmas, we’re not talking about waiting for a little baby to be born. We’re in fact welcoming the universal, cosmic Christ—the Christ that is forever being born in the human soul and history.”
ALL AND IN ALL
The loving message of the Divine Incarnation is bigger than just one man. It is the ultimate character of all reality, including each one of us in community as the ongoing Body of Christ. “Incarnation is the oldest Christian story. Through Christ, God is pouring God's self into all creation. To be Christian, then, is to see Christ in everything.”
‘Christ is all, and is in all’ Col 3.11 NIV.
With Christ as our life, to be a person who ministers spirit and life simply by being oneself is to be the expression of Christ with freedom and joy. This is because Christ is in you. It’s because the Christ in you manifests as you. Christ our life is the glory of being a son/daughter of God. Christ our life makes us the imparter of real life which is spirit and life.
Jesus said, ‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life’ John 6.63 NIV. Jesus was one with God, meaning one with the trinity who is the life-hub of the cosmos. Living in Jesus, so are you and so are all who step into the reality of Christ our life.
YOU ARE SONS/DAUGHTERS OF GOD
The Kingdom of God is never religious in its undiluted sense. It simply is. It ‘is’ in you and is manifest as you and as us. To live in this oneness with God is to be of the Body of Christ in reality as distinct from the theory of the letter that makes us phantoms of ourselves. The I AM of God has become the I am that it you and you are a living river of His life.
