In Jesus the separation of the fall has been overcome. Union is ours when we are living in our INHERITANCE and not in the separation of old covenant assumptions. In the new covenant Christ is our life. This means that God is our life and that the trinity is our living space. We live here as sons and daughters participating in the life of God, because in Christ we have been enfolded in God.

You are included in the Fellowship of the trinity.

Jesus has opened the door to union with God. Holy Spirit reveals to us the glory of our Father and the all sufficiency of Jesus. This is known also as the vicarious humanity of Christ - meaning that there is no link between us and heaven that is ours to forge. Why is this so? Because we matter and are deeply loved.

John Powell wrote a book entitled ‘Why I am afraid to Tell You Who I Am.’ It’s about the nature of persons and the fact that as person (as distinct from an object or a thing) we live in a state of constant becoming. He has another book entitled ‘Fully Human, Fully Alive.’ Both states are linked because life to the full is based on our union with the spirit-life of our Father and living in the fullness and glory of our real selves in ultimate personhood.

The posts I write are dedicated to encouraging Believers to live their lives to the full and avail themselves of the INFINITE LIFE THAT IS JESUS. Life lived in anything else is never infinite, always limited and draws us into a body of death.

Dr Gordon Moyes states that Christianity is not a religion but a person. Yet millions of Believers live a lowest common denominator existence in the knowledge of good and evil with Jesus added. Your life in God is not you attempting to copy God or be like Jesus. It is God living His full life in you.

The new covenant is not more of the same only with Jesus assisting. It is we have died in Adam and now are alive in Christ. Paul says,

‘I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly’ Gal 2.20,21 NIV.

Righteousness flows from the life that is our union with God. Spirit and life is ours in our Christ life. But to remain attached to any element of the law and anything not Christ is to dull our lives, put out the flame of divinity in our being and revert ourselves to separated Adam.

When Paul talks of Christ our life he does not mean a more subtle and sophisticated manifestation of the law, or Christian culture and teaching as life. He means Christ manifest as you!

‘I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist’ 2 John 1.7 NIV.

Holy Spirit mediates the life of Jesus and reveals our inheritance in the fullness of Jesus. Someone has written, ‘Holy Spirit imparts to us the relationship of Father and Son and immerses us in the dynamic of the Holy Family.’

The Kingdom of God is the incarnation of God in people. This is the church Jesus builds. This is why we must live from the person of Christ and not from the law, the stuff of religion or the activity of ‘the cause.’ When Christ is our life we are fully alive. We are sons of God and we multiply this God-life, each in our unique way.

Filled with spirit and life we ignite all we touch with the life of God. Those who have the Son have life. Those who have religion do not have life. When Christ is our life all we say and touch is radiated with new creation life and the life of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are the harbingers of the Kingdom of God.
