The life of God is limitless and eternal. This life is of such a nature that it yearns for more and urges us to have a ravenous appetite for life itself. LIFE IS ALIVE. Life is also love as in a love of life.

Grace makes a path to greater truth. We become a more robust self when both truth and grace are ours.

The trinity is the life-hub of the universe. God so loved life that God created daughters and sons to share this life. The Door to this life is Jesus. Real life is union with God and the one purposeful addiction that is not a drug – not an opiate of the people. People can be addicted to religion, particularly their religion. It’s better to be addicted to life and find it in Christ our life where there are no additives and side-effects.

Life is addictive and meant to be. False life is the compartmentalisation, limitations and contradictions of the knowledge of good and evil claiming to be life. This is the lie of the promise of the ‘higher life’ that turned out to be death. The truth is that you are already ‘as God’s’ as God’s sons in Christ and are already enough.

To make rules about not condemning people as a Believer while remaining blasé about killing the earth is curious and hypocritical.

‘What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!’ Rom 7.24,25 NIV.

Paul talks of the delivery that is ours from the contradictions and frustration of dichotomised life of the knowledge of good and evil of which the law is an expression. Any mode of being that is not incarnation is both limited and life-draining. It leads to the death of the spirit, soul and body.

Incarnation – the trinity in you and us all - is the inheritance of the post cross age. The holistic life of Christ prevents hypocrisy and partisan righteousness. The incarnation is the trinity manifesting as you and the church. This is the real meaning of the spirit of sonship – it’s not just a notion or something on which to take a sermon. It’s being sons and daughters who are stewards of the earth.

With God manifesting in His daughters and sons, these members of the Holy Family have the ability to bring dead things to life and save dead people from multiplying death things. Institutions are not innately dead, routines are not necessarily lifeless and so called ‘secular’ things are not separated, secular and ungodly in the age of the trinity in us. Our mandate to bring all things under His feet is realised when the life we live is CHRIST OUR LIFE flowing everywhere.

‘Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me’ John 6.57 NIV. Eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus is not some bizarre cannibalism. It is incarnation.

‘This is My body given for you’ is not only about the cross. It means Christ’s life is our life. This is life in the Spirit. Life in the Spirit is not life in Adam with the gifts added.

In Christ we are made alive because in Him we become attached to the infinite life of the trinity. THE RESURRECTION of Jesus is the modus operandi of our being. Jesus said, ‘Those who live in me will live because of me.’ He is life itself and the door to that life. Significantly Jesus declared that He came to give us life to the full, which is life without limitation – the same upwelling, infinite life that is the trinity. In Jesus we participate in this fellowship and in the limitless flow of this life.

That in which we live cannot be hidden. If we are living from a belief system, it will show in what we are and what we preach. If we are living in some bubble of charisma we will be prone unrooted in the incarnation, we will be vulnerable to misguided, populist ideas. Worse still we babble out our babel them out with confidence.

If Christ is our life and we manifest the spirit of the trinity as ourselves many will know. Seekers of life will perceive. But those content to live in the coma of self-serving beliefs will continue with the utterances of hollow men with head-piece filled with straw.

‘Oneness’ with God is not difficult. It’s not spiritual heroics. It’s living in what is ours and just being sons and daughters as Mabel, Syd and Sarah: ‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20. This is the day we are born from religion into union with God. As Ben Bowyang of Gun’s Gulley said, ‘Better to be a boofhead who speaks life than a boofhead who speaks nonsense.

Richard Rohr perceives that “In the life of the Trinity [in which you live] you can always rest inside a certain kind of deep contentment: it’s all foundationally good and okay. This moment is as perfect as it can be, and I do not need to state my preferences moment by moment, make my judgments or demands, or write my commentary on everything.” This is the rest for human restlessness that is real and forever. It’s what Paul means when he exclaims,

‘But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me’ 1 Cor 15.10 NIV.

Paul can rest in the grace and satisfaction of being and becoming His real self – the self, envisaged before the world began and the self He is being drawn into in Christ’s new creation life.

This is the peace and wholeness of life that is ours continuously in the fullness of our fellowship in the trinity. We are surrounded with the Source and Sustenance of our being and one with the living flow of infinite life. Rohr continues,

“This is the peace the world cannot give nor take away. If a person is not fundamentally resting in the Eternal Sabbath, they are not yet living inside the Trinitarian flow.” (1)

The ‘flow’ is the river of life that is the Being of God.

As Believers we can have a problem in relating to reality itself. Once we make our own hermeneutic, we undo Christ’s Gospel and return to some version of the tree of knowledge. How could we not when we reject the Tree that is Jesus and the cross. In its place we embrace a ‘gospel’ that is not supported by evidence which means it is a lie. We start on a path that begins with spinning scriptures and ends in rejecting Christ’s Gospel entirely. The Gospel of Jesus and the apostles does not start with the law. It starts with the end of the law and the beginning of Christ our life. It’s Christ come in our flesh – a gospel reality that is Christ and not the spirit of anti-christ.

‘Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist’ 2 John 1.7 NIV.
