Some of the ‘gospels’ taught today as orthodoxy range from distortions to perverse. They do the opposite of setting captives free by binding Believers in a dormant state of non-spirit and none-life or by handcuffing them to a mindset that diminishes God and cripples the Christian witness into judgment and punishment. The worst of these consign non-believers to hell and the lesser of the evils substitute the law for the incarnation.
[The] cross is made to be about law and order, rather than grace and mercy. [The trinity] is fragmented because it injects division into the Trinity by making the Son different (merciful) from His Father (who is wrathful). The implication is made that there is a change in God from wrath to mercy. This is in contrast to a God of grace who acts graciously BECAUSE HE IS GRACIOUS instead of becoming gracious. God chooses to redeem us in and of Himself. He is not persuaded into graciousness by any external means. (1)
THE APOSTLES TEACHING
The crux of the cosmos and our life in God is not the law. It’s the trinity and our inclusion in the trinitarian belonging. We have been drawn into this fellowship to participate in the joy of life and love.
There is a gospel of truth and wholeness called the ‘apostles teaching’* and the gospel known as ‘this gospel of the Kingdom’ that is the witness of Jesus and apostolic teachers who understand and preach Christ’s gospel rather than ‘other gospels that have been subverted by the spirit of anti-christ. The result has been that thousands do not know that Christ has come in them; that they and Father are one and that the law of the spirit of life which is not the law of Moses, but the trinity incarnated in them - is their reality and guarantee of fellowship with Father as a son in whom God is well pleased.
The real text the real text of New Testament revelation is the humanity of Jesus. The real reality of you as a Godly person and a son/daughter of God is you as the expression of Jesus Christ. The proof of our belonging in the Body of Christ is not words on paper. It’s Christ our life.
* Notice that the key feature of the apostles teaching is the LORD'S TABLE which is a celebration of the key reality of post cross life: Incarnation.
