DISCERNING WORDS OF SPIRIT AND LIFE

Holy Spirit lives in you and with you and testifies of Christ. When we choose to believe Christ the trinity takes up residence in our being. The Basis of post cross life is the trinity in us - otherwise known as the incarnation. This union with God is the essence of life in the Spirit. It’s Christ come in our flesh to be expressed as us.
INCARNATION IS THE BASIS
We can, in the gifts of the Spirit speak words of life and light. We do this the best when we live incarnation rather than living religion. Living words are words spoken without artifice and affectation by those who live Christ. These can be words from God among friends and the latter will recognise them as from the Lord. We can in the Spirit speak words of healing and life into those we are praying for without any knowledge of their circumstance – because we are praying the Lord’s encouragement into their lives. This is encouraging to the struggling because it shows them that Jesus knows who they are.
GOLD AND FOOLS GOLD
Genuine life-giving truths from God from us are not contrived. There are prophetic round-tables that produce something and nothing. I have heard twenty minute ‘prophetic words’ from the local ‘prophetic voice’ that are no more than gibberish. Learn to separate genuine words of life from guff. I have never heard a prophecy that tells the future. Not saying they don’t happen. But the ‘genuine words’ I have heard take the form of encouragement from the Lord about our identity and mission for Him. They speak into the lives of the pure in heart and confirm what the Lord has already been saying to their inner self.
