All can walk in the light as Jesus is in the light because Jesus is the Light who walks in us.

In Jesus we gain His sight and His insight. ‘Seeing’ is a state of being - the state of being in God and one with God. He has made this so. Our part is to agree, intentionally embrace our union with Him and rest in the interweaving of our spirit with the Spirit of God.

Where spiritual insight is concerned, believing is seeing - which is to say that when we believe what God believes about Himself and how we have been joined to the Holy Family, we grow in the ability to see as God sees. This is to say we are nurtured in sound doctrine.

Sound doctrine is the product of revelation. But it is also, something as simple as spiritual discernment. Which is seeing what Jesus is seeing. This ability is precedes any spiritual gift and is necessary for the wholesome operation of any such gift.

It’s disappointing to see Christian leaders engaged in moral crusades. This may be their version of ‘Christianity’ but it’s not what Jesus began. He presented Himself as life. He offers to forgive us, live in us and be us. To be a son of God is to be an expression of Jesus. So, growing into a holy life is the effect of Christ our life. Not the door. Even then your fellowship with Jesus does not depend on your success as an overcomer. Your life with Him depends on His overcoming for you. He is your life in every way.

The Kingdom is not a war against sin. It is the multiplication of life. There’s a difference. Don’t make religion out of the body of death. Jesus warned of false christs. They are the product of veiled truths and private gospels. False christs present the possibilities of a false body - or at least a body of death of the kind Paul said we are delivered from - the carcass of old covenant, law and self-effort. ‘Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!’ 7.24,25 NIV.

Accurate doctrine empowers, because it means we believe what Jesus believes and have His mind. Jesus and the apostles taught that we are covered by God’s grace and transformed by His life. ‘Covered’ in that Christ’s life is
accounted as our life and ‘transformed’ in that His life becomes our life by His Spirit indwelling us.

This is the import of ‘Christ our life.’ It’s the new and living way in which Jesus becomes your life, the life of the communities who believe, and the advancing wave of the new creation as nations come into His Resurrection as it is multiplied in people and rejuvenates the earth.

But while this has force, the power is not in the letter. The letter kills. Always. The Word of God is a person - the person of Jesus known as the logos and the law of the spirit of life. Different entirely to words on stone, precepts on pages and moral rectitude as culture - this Word is alive, personal and lives in you. He has exclusive rights to you. It’s Christ your life totally. Never a piece of law and a bit of grace. It’s Christ for you and manifesting as you.

Stephen Crosby writes, “
Accurate doctrine does not automatically translate into right relationship with God and humanity. The people most dedicated to the scripture, most devoted to its study, most devoted to a literal hermeneutic, the most morally scrupulous, most theologically conservative of Jesus's day (the Pharisees/religious establishment), could not recognize either John the Baptist, nor the Lord Himself. They had no clue what God was doing in their generation. That is because they were relationally alienated from God in their self-perceived orthodoxy. It is a human condition and it remains today.” Religious – that is old covenant - people are notoriously dim in spiritual discernment. The reason- Law and religion insulates people from God.

Law culture separates us in our minds from God thus making us notoriously poor in spiritual discernment. Law culture generates separation, cripples our souls, dulls our spirits and renders our humanity dormant where we live as workers but never make it as sons. Sure, we are sons notionally. Just not in spirit and in truth. This is the dilemma of the sons of the slave woman. They have this inheritance. It is theirs. But they do not live in it because they will not possess it and they do not embrace it because they think what they have is better.

‘But what does Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son’ Gal 4.30 NIV.

T. F. Torrance assures us “We are united to Christ who is bone of our bone and flesh of our flesh, and participate in the risen Humanity of Christ so that we are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh.”  Torrance is explaining the incarnation, the key reality of the new testament age, where Christ lives in us so radically that He really does come in our flesh to manifest as our personal and collective humanity.

In the lines below, Torrance
distinguishes between Body in the letter and the Body in the Spirit. We see that we can be The Body notionally, yet fail to realise this in the Spirit. How might this come about? It happens when we imagine we remain separated from God in old covenant distance. But because of the at-one-ment we are part of Him, part of the being of God. Thus, Jesus desires that we embrace this revelation because it is the reality of the Kingdom enlarging in us.

‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20.

Torrance writes, “
One cannot pass without interruption from Christ to the Church. The Cross stands between. In being the Body of Christ, the Church meets her Lord; she does not prolong Him, but she expresses Him here and now. She does not replace Him, but makes Him visible, demonstrates Him without being confounded with Him.” As individuals and the church, we are the manifestation of Jesus. This is our reality if we have embraced Christ as our life and live in Him and have not buried this talent in the ground. Christ is our life when Jesus has come in our flesh. Not when the law has come in our flesh.

Let’s be clear. Jesus is not ministering the law to you. He minsters Himself to you so that His Spirit lives in you and becomes you. This is what upsets the anti-christ spirit. The fact that the trinity comes to live and manifest in Believers is an affront to his infernal plans for degradation. God’s plan for you is elevation and this happens because Christ has come in your flesh and His Spirit is expressed
as you.

There’s a reason why obvious and subtle
attempts to deny the incarnation are sourced in the anti-christ spirit: Malice.

Religions and law shrivel the human spirit, cripple the soul and suffocate what could have been the relentless advance of the new creation in the world. God has achieved for all - union with God. But we must embrace it, shunning un-gospels and embracing the gospel of the Kingdom so that in being separate from dead bodies and the body of death, we are alive in Christ and a community of spirit and life!

Who would have thought that when Jesus warned of false christs He was speaking to the issues of the self- constructed Jesus and the corporately produced gospel? Jesus is the I AM of Himself and the Christ of God. He can be known and is known by all for whom He is Lord and not some self-made addition or subtraction. All can walk in the light as Jesus is in the light because Jesus is the light who walks in us.
