FALSE CHRIST, FALSE YOU , FALSE US

There is a living way to know God that comes from Christ via the Holy Spirit so that we grow in knowing God by the revelation that is God, namely Jesus Christ.

ONE NOT MANY
There is one Christian Gospel, not many and no alternatives that are legitimate. Perspectives of the gospel that alter the substance and undo from the inside the Gospel of Jesus and Paul are comparable to the genetic alteration of cells that grow into a cancer. The alert disciple of Jesus will be diligent to ensure that His Christianity is that of the Christian church and not a tumour growing within the Body.

GOD REVEALS GOD
Thomas Torrance wrote, “Without God, God cannot be known’ .. this was already formulated in the second century by Irenaeus who, relying on Matt. 11:27 and Lk. 10:22 wrote: ‘The Lord has taught us that no one can know God unless God himself is the Teacher, that is to say, without God, God is not to be known.’

“Hilary held a similar view, while Athanasius’s statement that ‘it would be more godly and true to signify God from the Son and call him Father, than to name him from his works alone and call him Unoriginate’ provided additional support for this thesis.

GOD REVEALED THROUGH HIMSELF – JESUS AND HOLY SPIRIT
“Torrance maintains that Calvin too held that ‘since God alone knows himself, he may not be known by us except through himself and his own self-witness or testimony’ Karl Barth also insisted that God could be known only through God.

US – INCLUDED IN FATHER-SON KNOWING
“The point of all this is that according to Matt. 11:27 and Lk. 10:22, there is an exclusive relation of knowing between the Father and Son and we are drawn into that relation through the Spirit as is taught in 1 Cor. 2:9-12, such that it is only by receiving the Spirit of God from Christ that we can share in the Son’s knowledge of the Father and the Father’s knowledge of the Son which would otherwise be closed to us.” (1)

LIVE IN WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE  
We participate in the union with God in Jesus Christ by the Spirit in which we come to know Christ and the plan of salvation as it is because we share in Christ’s relationship with Father. Participating in the divine nature is not doing the law as some sects teach. It is living the oneness with Christ that is already ours as the Gift of God in the Christ of God.

REALIZE  YOUR LIFE IN JESUS
‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20 NIV. This realization is the knowing of God in Christ that is ours in His life and His light. It is the start of our re-birth as sons and the end of our striving as slaves and workers. This is the state of being in which we are agents of Jesus’ new creation life rather than place-holders of religion.
