WHEN YOU ARE PART OF THE DIVINE LOAF

BELIEVERS.0440601
Jesus spoke of hearing but not hearing. One can explain that the incarnation is the foundation of our life, that it is salvation in daily life and more than being saved – it’s you as the expression of Christ and the manifestation of the triune God. You can impress this on the listener and still the listener may not see that Jesus is not about Christianity or religion and not even Christianity with miracles – because the listener is not listening.

The Kingdom is Christ directly manifest as the people of the world.

MORE THAN WORDS

If the incarnation is not lived as a state of being, the words of the Bible are just words. But when Christ is incarnated as our life each word points to a Greater Reality – the reality of the advancing Kingdom of Jesus Christ through Joe and Mavis.

Father is better than most of us ever imagined and salvation is more comprehensive than the religious mind can grasp. The Kingdom of God is not only about the reign of God among us. It is about our reign as persons in the world. If we embrace the inheritance that is ours, we can reign in our lives over circumstances and the Enemy. This does not mean that we will not face challenge or tragedy. It means that such things will enhance our glory as sons of God and by so doing advance the Kingdom of God.

SONS AND WORKERS

There’s a big difference in living our life as a worker and living as a son.

We are closer than ‘with’ God. God is in us and more. He is woven into our being. Jesus promised that the Believer would never be an orphan. The non-believer is not an orphan. She just does not know it yet. All human beings are sons of God by origin and redemption. Sons and daughters in spirit and in truth have grasped the pearl of great price, put the treasure in the field in the home of their hearts and received the parable of The Sower for what it is rather than a hurry-up in matters of morality. A notional son is a slave. A new covenant son is a son in spirit and in truth.

‘Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks’ John 4.23 NIV. This is our reality when Christ is our life. The vicarious humanity of Jesus means that Christ is us and we are the manifestation of Him.

FOOD BECOMES YOU

Jesus urged us to celebrate the Lord’s Supper because it is the symbol of the reality: The reality that Jesus becomes us. Not that we all become Jesus of Nazareth or deities. Each of us by His Spirit become the expression of The Son of Man. But it’s even more than this and more simple than religion would allow. We have become interwoven with God. We and the trinity have been made one.

YOU EAT BREAD

‘At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven’ John 6.41 NIV. We are what we eat. Eating Jesus, we will be the manifestation of Him. Eating religion we will manifest the fall.

The fact is, that we can live in union with God when we embrace Jesus as our Bread. This is the truth in which Jesus wants us to live: ‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20 NIV.

PRIME ISSUE

He wants some of us to realise this now. He wants all of us to realise that there are myriad issues that are not the prime issue. Like burgeoning immoralities, mass starvation and war. These can be addressed. But they will not be ameliorated unless we embrace Christ as ourselves. This is the incarnation in spirit and in truth. The prime issue is Christ as us.

POST CROSS RE-CREATION

Our Christ-life is not Adam renewed. It is Christ become us. The post-cross age is not rubbing holy spirit oil into the law and the temple. It’s the Spirit come in our flesh.

Let’s be clear. We are not talking of Christ being the engine of religion or the re-vivifier of Christianity or the supervisor of the law. We are talking of the trinity manifesting as you and as us all. This is the church Jesus builds and more. It is the new creation in spirit and in truth. The Kingdom of God is the trinity manifest as humanity.

‘Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation’ Gal 6.15 NIV. Transformation does not happen by adherence to inane religious rites. It happens because by the Spirit, Christ’s life becomes us.

THE YEAST

John wrote of this as ourselves interwoven with God. This is the only real meaning of the sons of God. All others are merely notional and letter ridden. This is the Godliness that has substance because it is the fullness of God expressed as us – Christ come in the flesh: The difference between bogus and genuine versions of the Kingdom. The difference between religion and the Kingdom of God is thin. But it is a real difference: The difference between wheat and tares.

DECEIVERS

‘I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist’ 2 John 1.7 NIV. Legalistic and religious expressions of the faith are a negation of Christ in us. They are us in us – the flesh come in the flesh. A law culture is more debilitating than we might realise.

Jesus declared that He and His Father were one. He was a son. Our inheritance today is to possess what Jesus has. He urged us to embrace what is ours in the scripture above (John 14.20). There is nothing more important than this for our personal sonship and the advance of the Kingdom in His authority, spirit and life. As a sage expostulated, ‘Tell them that God is not up there!’ of course. He is in you and interwoven into your being. But this is not the normal Christian understanding. Richard Rohr observes,

“Our dualistic mind needs to split and divide, with the result that it understands Jesus as only divine and understands human beings as only human, despite all scriptural and mystical affirmations to the contrary. The overcoming of this divide was the whole point of the Incarnation of God in Christ.” (1) In Jesus you and our Father are one.

NO FRAGMENTATION

The world is not divided into God-sectors and secular compartments. Neither are there God-holy times and carnal times. Jesus has baptised the entire world into God. Church ministry as worthy as it is, is no more life-giving than you imparting spirit and life into your daily routine at the bakery. There is no such thing as your time and God’s time. Since the cross it is all God’s time and all your time as a son. In Christ this means it is all your time to flourish as yourself and release the spirit and life that you have been designed to multiply by creation and redemption.

‘And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ--everything in heaven and on earth’ Eph 1.10 NLT.

The life of heaven on earth is far more interesting than it has appeared to the religious eye. It is never effete, is totally unrestricted and in some cases needs to be set free from religious humbug. The Spirit without limit implies creativity and the adventure of living without limit. Christ is both our life and the life force of the new creation – manifest through you and the agency of us all.
