“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him” Matt 11.27 NIV. ‘Knowing God’ becomes our knowing because Christ is in us.

Jesus declared Himself one with our Father. He also advised that only He knows the Father and only the Father knows the Son. Jesus came among us as the witness to Father God and to Himself as God’s Son. As the Son of Man born of Mary, Jesus is the witness to who we really are in God. Thanks to the enterprise of the trinity were are one with God as sons/daughters as Jesus is one with God. One not as deities but as sons and daughters born from the trinity and rebirthed as the result of the enterprise of the trinity in Jesus Christ. The foundation of our sonship is the oneness between Jesus the Son of God, Father God and human beings.

Moralism is a false gospel.

The issue of the ages is not the law and the keeping of it. The core issue is identity: The who of God and the who of us. God is worthy, honourable and holds nothing back. You and I are enough. We needed no addition in the beginning and we need nothing now other than our oneness with God which has been achieved already in Christ. We and Father are one now and forever.

Get this: The more we find out about God the more we see how wonderful God is – and how simple the issue of salvation is. Good works that flow from our lived union with God ignite society and keep on multiplying forever. The very works contain spirit and life. ‘Works’ produced to gain the union with God we already have are problematic because they do not produce the Kingdom of life. ‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life’ John 6.63 NIV. The spirit is what we have in union with God. The flesh is what we have in union with self-effort and virtue signalling.

In oneness with Christ you will be His spirit and life.

The foundation of the Kingdom is that Father is trustworthy and loving and that we are God’s sons in spirit and in truth.

Union with God is the foundation of the Kingdom. Morrison, following Torrance writes, “Everything depends upon the unity in being and act and word between Jesus Christ the only begotten Son and God the Father. If the [oneness in being with the Father] were not true, the Gospel would lack the very foundation in the self-revelation or self-communication of God in Jesus Christ which it needs in order to be Gospel […] The homoousion asserts that God is eternally in himself what he is in Jesus Christ, and, therefore, that there is no dark unknown God behind the back of Jesus Christ, but only he who is made known to us in Jesus Christ.” (1)

The Light of the World is the light of God and the light of who we are as sons. This is the Light that is the new and living way of the Kingdom of God. The difference between narratives of the Kingdom and deformed narratives is that the focus of one is life and the focus of the other is sin.

‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full’ John 10.10 NIV.
