BRIGHT

CHRIST YOUR LIFE

YOU CHOOSE THE GLASS

We can have a glass half full of grace or a glass overflowing with grace. The lavish grace is Christ incarnated in us.

The law is relevant to our life in God only in so far as we have been deliverer from it, do not live in it, have entered the new and better way and do not allow ourselves to be caught in its cobwebs of misguided doctrine and just plain wrongness.

CHRIST IS US

Thomas Torrance, a theologian who nailed the meaning of Christ our life in the new covenant age observes that,
“[T]his essential element in the obedience of the Son is of supreme importance because solely through the hypostatic union [the oneness of Jesus Christ and Father] that Christ gives us not only his negative righteousness, which is the remission of our sins, but also his positive righteousness, which is his life in perfect love, obedience, and filial relationship to the Father.”

CHRIST COME IN OUR FLESH

Obedience to Christ is Christ our life. Not Christ our ‘Christian life.’ Sure, the incarnation of Christ in Believers builds a culture but it is never a religion. It is an incarnation expressed as the new creation Kingdom of God that is Christ manifest in our flesh. The latter is simply the presence of Jesus at large in incarnated people.

Good works, an un-degraded life, grace and love are the fruit of Christ as us. Never the entitlement to his love and indwelling. Signs, wonders and the power gifts are a function of our union with God. Never a substitute or a replacement of Christ in us and as us. The gifts of the Spirit followed the cross for a reason. Adamic separation had been undone and the human race entered the oneness with Father than Jesus enjoys. It’s there for all. But enjoyed only by those who believe it and live ‘this Gospel of the Kingdom.’
