In the normal course of life we can accumulate myths as though they are truths and walk about encumbered by them until we have done with them and decide that what we thought was truth must be examined and held to account. There is ultimate truth. It’s called This Gospel of the Kingdom. Also called The Apostles Doctrine.
The one way into this realm of truth is Truth Himself - the son of man who reveals to us the truth of God and the truth about ourselves. Once we have joined this locomotive and are committed to Him above all else we can expect to enter a path of unfolding revelation. We have begun our new birth and have commenced the adventure of the maturing sons of God.
“The basic decision taken at the Council of Nicaea made it clear that the eternal relation between the Father and the Son in the Godhead was regarded in the Church as the supreme truth upon which everything else in the Gospel depends. Jesus Christ is himself the content of God’s unique self-revelation to mankind. It is on the ground of what God has actually revealed of his own nature in him as his only begotten Son that everything else to be known of God and of his relation to the world and human beings is to be understood.” (1)
The supreme truth of the post cross age is the incarnation. Not a Jesus empowered law and not the gifts. But Christ in you, Christ our life and Christ come in our flesh.
It is by this means that the life of heaven, the life of the trinity becomes the life of the people of the world. It is the new and living way by which the new creation becomes the reality of Christ in every marriage, family, town and nation. (1)
If you suspect you have spent your life in half-truths, this page is a good introduction to veils removed. Veils always are removed in Christ, particularly when our Christ is the Christ of God and not some lesser christ from a lesser gospel.
