CHRIST YOUR LIFE

REJOICING IN THE CHRIST OF GOD

Jesus does not exist as a hitching post of any denominational aspiration. Such a Jesus is not Lord of all and actually becomes lord of small. A christ who is the Supervisor of moralism is not the Christ of God. Neither is a Christ who lives to empower people to keep the law. Such Christs are false christs in the truest sense. The Christ of God is of the trinity and the Representation of the Trinity to humanity. Thus, to be incarnated by Christ is to have the fullness of the God-head bodily, in our body.

WHO IS A FALSE CHRIST?

A false christ is any christ who has been moulded in our imagination and our expectation of what we want The Christ to be.

If Jesus is the I am of us rather than the I AM of Himself, He is no Christ at all.  Thomas Torrance observes that, “
From an outward historical point of view it is evident that Jesus was resented and crucified because he refused to have anything to do with being a national messiah. Thus the tension that developed between the Jews and Jesus was a repetition and an externalisation of the inner conflict.. between Israel's national aspirations and its vocation as a priestly people.” (1) I would be nice to say that people no longer try to create christ’s and gospels that fit their own needs to be something special.

RECREATED

Jesus is fully God and a human being. But He is not made in our image. He is our life in order than we can be re-created in His image.

HIS NATURE IS NOT THE LAW

Jesus is both one with Father and the exact representation of our Father. Jesus is not something else and should never be reduced to an expression or representation of something so abstract as the law. To make Him so is to render Him a figure of the knowledge of good and evil. This is about a ‘cunningly devised fable’ as you can get.

JESUS DEFINED AS GOD – NOTHING LESS

The Son of God is fully God and one with God. “
The writers of the New Testament affirmed the unique relationship between Jesus and the one he called “Father.” The apostle Paul, who wrote many of the “books” or “letters” of the New Testament, asserts the oneness of Jesus and God. He writes, “For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Col. 2:9). In addition, Paul claims that the Son is the “image of the invisible God,” while the writer of the Book of Hebrews assures us that the Son of God is the “exact representation” of God’s being (Heb. 1:3).” (2)

The Light of the World represents Himself as He is. A Christ refracted through a partisan gospel is not the Christ of God. Christ is “God of God, Light of Light, Very God of very God, Begotten not made, Of one being with the Father.”

Jesus represents God, is God and is encompassed by the fullness of the God-Head bodily. To have Jesus is to have the trinity make their home in us. Having Jesus is not difficult since Jesus already has us.
