Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

We can follow Jesus wherever He may lead. Or say that this is our resolve yet follow Him until he goes beyond our preconceived notions. Jesus said, ‘Those who have will have more and those who have not might lose what they have.’ The ‘more that we begin with is not a ‘more’ of quantity or of information. It’s a hunger for truth and life that one will not allow itself to be subordinate to anything. This is the ‘more’ that is the Kingdom yeast/mustard seed that springs up to infinite life. A fastening onto life itself with this passion, whether in the Believer or non-believer is the germ of an advance into abundant life and infinite possibility.

‘Jesus said, “How can I describe the Kingdom of God? What story should I use to illustrate it? It is like a mustard seed planted in the ground. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of all garden plants; it grows long branches, and birds can make nests in its shade’ Mark 4.31 NLT.

We can fill a religious space with a piece of religion or with spirit and life. This is to say we might fill it with choice rib-eye or common gravy beef. Some will never know. Those for whom Jesus is life will know they have been served a furphy – the new covenant people. The routine religious will chew on the gristle and not know they have received a damp squib.

A piece of religion served as a main course is always something and nothing. This is so whether is it entertaining, intellectually challenging or well-informed on current events. Sincerity is irrelevant. Grace will not forever cover the flesh. Spirit and life served as main course is a combined effort – the result of you and Father being one. What is important is not that people have heard a Bible study or a discourse well supported with scriptures. Nothing like that. The notable thing is that a stream of life lowed from the trinity, through you and into the Believer’s heart. This is how Jesus spoke words of spirit and life: Because He and Father were one. We can do the same. In the new covenant reality we have what Jesus had. Union with Father.

‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life’ John 6.63 NIV.

In the new covenant our privilege is to be one with God. This is the inheritance of the minister and those being ministered too. With Jesus as our life we are in His stead. We teach what Father is teaching. We know what this is through grace and without effort because we and Father are one. But this is not so if we are living in a mindset of separation in the law and old covenant. Here we are not one and are cut-off from the source of our being and root of the anointing.

In the new covenant we are alive in the Spirit because we are one with Father. It is the spirit of sonship that releases the Spirit without limit. With an old covenant mindset we live in Adamic separation. Our presentations will be delivered under the auspices of the knowledge of good and evil. Here it is easy to give a ‘something and nothing presentation’ that has no Kingdom value because it was without spirit and life.

To live in the new covenant is to live in the new and living way where we are positioned in the presence of God. Jesus has gone through the outer apartments into the Holy of Holies and we are with Him and in Him. In Jesus we have the same oneness with Father that belongs to Jesus. This is how we know Father’s heart, what He is doing and what He means us to say in the moment and the season.

The anointing is nothing outside the new covenant. The new covenant is Father to the gifts of the Spirit child. Separated from the source of its being the anointing can sputter to life before fading because it has no root. Holy Spirit comes to reveal the truth about Christ and the authentic gospel of the Kingdom. When we receive His revelation and witness to the Christ we proceed from glory to glory. When we do not we fade.

The gifts of the Spirit are a function of our achieved union with God. Jesus was one with His Father and had the spirit without limit. So do we in a new covenant mindset. We need to live in the conscious reality of what God has achieved for us in Christ: Union with God. If we live in an alternative mindset or a false gospel our potency is neutralised and our inheritance of no avail because we have dismissed the achievements of Christ on our behalf.

We are never channels of spirit and life because we are part of an elite. We speak words of spirit and life because we and our Father are one.
