Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

The genius of the new testament age is Christ in us – the trinity incarnated in our being as individuals and the church. Yet many of us, I suspect most, are living out of church and a Christianised version of the knowledge of good and evil (1). What this manufactures is an aversion to the simplicity and infinite power of Christ our life – and people literally fill their lives living in shallows and in miseries in the name of the gospel. But it’s not the gospel of the Kingdom. Paul was more blunt than this: He called it dung as opposed to life.

‘Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ’ Phil 3.8 KJV.

As a preachers, we can do a passable job of giving out bits of helpful information – pieces of religious knowledge that we expect people might benefit from by putting them into effect. ‘Might’ is a good word. Religious teaching from, a knowledge of good and evil framework, has no power to accomplish that which it teaches. Our intention in this mode to embrace ‘religious tips and tricks’ is problematic at best. Worst of all we are not transformed. We are not transformed because the preacher did not release a stream of spirit and life. As teachers in this mode, we remain dormant vessels because we are not yet connected in spirit and soul to the person of Jesus and the life of the trinity. We are still living separated, in old covenant assumptions apart from the mind of Christ and contained in our self-defined separationism.

Here’s the thing. In old covenant mode we are not born again because we are Adam and not in Christ.

‘These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ’ Col 2.17 NIV. These shadows are any thing that is not Christ as us.

The reality is Christ. All else is a fog. The mind and the reality of Christ is as follows: Because of the divine conspiracy effected by God, we in our spirit and person have been re-united with God. We are one with Him in spirit and in truth. Jesus has made us one with our Father. THIS IS OUR INHERITANCE AND OUR REALITY.

As teachers we are able, in union with Father, to rightly interpret and apply the word of truth. Not according to the letter but in union with the Spirit. As such we are channels of spirit and life – channels because we and Father are one and we teach by the One Spirit.

‘All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him’ Matt 11.27 NIV.

This ‘knowing’ is ours when Jesus is our life. His insights into Father’s heart our insights, our revelation to impart to Believers. This is how we are competent to minister the spirit-life of God. Not separated as we are in law, but joined to the trinity in the body of Jesus.

When we have agreed that Christ is our life we are one with the trinity and with The Source of all life. Jesus spoke words of spirit and life because He was the Son of our Father. As imparters of life, we similarly speak spirit and life when our lives have been formed from union with God, when we are an expression of our Father because we are part of Him. As sons we are a true representative of ourselves and a channel of spirit and life. This is not ‘a work.’ It is who we are when Jesus is our life.

‘Living in new covenant truth you are not a better person. But you are a more alive one.’

Most of my writing is about life in the Spirit versus life in the law and religion. I do this because old covenant mindsets suffocate the incarnation in you. They smother what would have been our union with God with Adamic flesh. This means that sincere teachers, who love Jesus, unbeknown to themselves can emit saw-dust and sand instead of words of spirit and life. They are dead men talking.

‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life’ John 6,63 NIV.

Your real nature is not ‘sinner’ or carnal person. You come from God and have been placed back in God. Your sonship is ignited by the Spirit of our Father, our oneness is refreshed by Holy Spirit and we are filled with revelation and life. In the new covenant mindset we are one with God. In old covenant mode we are not – and not channels of revelation or of spirit and life.

Our spiritual discernment is dull, at around minus 200.
It takes more than sincerity to be competent ministers of the Kingdom. We must be aligned with what God has done in Christ to be ministers of Father’s life.

‘He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life’ 2 Cor 3.6 NIV.

We can be ministers of the new covenant or of the old. In the old we will minster information without life. In the new we will minister infinite and eternal life – the life that always was and the life that always will be. We will be multiplying freshness and intensity forever.
