The simplicity of the Kingdom is that God has made a way of making HIS LIFE OUR LIFE. This is not a fiction or a pious piece of poetry. It is the recognition of the fact that not only is Christ is your life. You are the expression of the Family of God who live in you and impart themselves to you.
THE WAY that God is made is new and alive and called JESUS.
Such an INCARNATED life can only be lived in the Spirit – never in any mechanical artifice like adherence to rules and formulations. Because Christ has come in our flesh the life of Father, Son and Holy Spirit gets to be manifest and multiplied in each of us as the church Jesus builds without human hands.
When confronted by such simplicity, grace and overwhelming competence we must reject externalities, forms of religion and denominations that specialise in the works of the law and worse – the maintenance of Adam in the era of Christ. Why? To retain a performance mentality leaves us incompetent to minister this Kingdom of life.
A life in the law insulates us from Christ’s healing, wholeness and Father’s spirit and life.
Any perspective that alters the absolute efficacy of Christ our life is not a perspective but a heresy because it’s another gospel. Cultures and denominations that promote adherence to externalities as the truth of God should be ignored and abandoned because of the folly they embody. Separation taught as godliness is the great darkness taught as light.
God’s obsession is not performance. His passion is LOVING YOU!
‘As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God's curse!’ Gal 1.9 NIV. Such shrivelling of the soul is not something God does to people. They do it to themselves by creating veils between God and man and making a church out of them.
Cunningly devised fables have turned truth into error and freedom into slavery, weakness and hypocrisy. The drawing of humanity into the life of God is found in Galatians 2.20. Here is Christ our life and the new covenant declared in precise language. The issue of the ages has nothing to do with the law and everything to do with the real nature of our Father and who we are as sons in His embrace. Thus theologian J Baxter Kruger writes,
‘We belong to the Father, Son and Spirit. We always have, and always will. It is this blessed fact, this truth that in Jesus Christ the Father has established an abiding relationship with us in the Spirit, that tells us who we are and why we are here. We have a beautiful life to live. We are included in the Trinitarian life of God. It is ours forever, as much our life as it is the life of the Father, Son and Spirit. Our place at the Father's table is eternal, as eternal as Jesus’ relationship with his Father. This is the truth, the real world, the way things are and forever and forever will be.’
