Jesus made the two one in His body and His person. In His body on the cross and in the spirit of sonship in Himself and in our Father. Once separated we are one with God.
Father told Adam if he ate of the fruit he would surely die. And so he did. In Adam all are dead in spirit and eventually in body. The temple, the law and the prophets expressed God’s grace in the old covenant era. The pointed to the resurrection life that was to come. This Christ. This life has come and lives with and in us.
Christ as our grace is Christ our life. This is the new covenant as expressed in Galatians 2.20 NIV. In regard to such there is no law. No law because it’s Christ’s life for you and in you. It’s Christ manifest in us and this manifestation is the church He builds.
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.” Gal 2.20-21 NSB.
Jesus made humanity one with itself because He had made us one with God. In Adam all were dead. But now in Christ we are all alive. That is if we are in Christ and have not malingered in separation and death with Adam and the law.
We are alive in Christ if we believe – believe that He is our life. Totally. If we do not believe we are dead in spirit. We are captured with Adam in our minds. We are personally and in community with a body of death – Adam’s death when we choose to reject Christ’s life and His mind for us. Then again we can flourish in spirit and life because we are made one with Father in His person.
Human beings have the ability to create their own reality. Even though Christ is actually our life we can live outside this life by adopting false doctrine as our possession.
One can never be fully human or fully alive when tied to the law. One can be a son in name only. But not in spirit and truth. We can reject our life in the Spirit of Christ and cling to our zombie-life in the mode of Adam and Moses. Here we have remain in the body of death of which Paul speaks, instead of rising with Jesus into life in the Spirit.
Life in the Spirit is not the anointing and the gifts. Life in the Spirit is union with God. It is our new covenant reality where Christ Himself is our life in micro and macro. Holy Spirit and the gifts bolted on to law and old covenant will never be the Kingdom of God. Father left this behind. You should too.
His Kingdom grows from union, not from separation with Father. The charismata are the effect of we and Father being one. And the result of our access to the Spirit without limit. Live in your inheritance and you will progress from glory to glory. Live in your imperfect notions and you will fizzle out. Cut all ties to the body of death. Christ is your life. You are fully alive in Him – alive in your spirit and soul. Cut your umbilicus to the law and become the expression of infinite life that is Christ in you.
‘But what does Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son’ Gal 4.30 NIV.
