His life as your life

Solomon writes of wisdom personified in the book of proverbs. Rick Joyner names the Christ ‘Wisdom’ in his visions. Isaiah declares the coming Christ to be the incarnation of qualities such as Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Paul repeated what wise people knew – that in God ‘we live, move and have our being’. Jesus Christ son of God came among us as the living representative of all that is, of the entire existence and the one in whom t
he whole creation holds together. John knew Him as the word or logos who is the meaning and purpose of everything that exists.

You and I can know Jesus as the way, the truth and the life, Jesus being the Christ of God and the son of Mary and Joseph. It’s more than obvious that to be joined to Jesus is to be joined to the cosmos and more to the point, to be joined to reality and participate in its nature and purpose.

If people were urged to ‘seek His face’ in the old testament, His Face is more accessible and more life-giving now than ever before. As mentioned here many times, in Jesus we see who God is and in Jesus we see who we are and who we are becoming.

But more than this we get a mode of perception that is accurate, creative and wisdom producing. At the opposite pole to this are false facts, self-serving rationalisation and dumb ideas promoted by those who do not understand what they are seeing and have no aptitude to meaningfully join the dots.

When Christ is our life and we see His Face as it is, we live in the truth – yet not truth as an abstraction - but as a person and more. In Jesus we are joined to the hub of life who we call the trinity – joined to the womb from which all life sprang and the Family that is our home.

You have direct communion with God in Christ. There is no intermediary. Jesus is not hoping to make you a copy of the law or some moral program. He lives to reproduce Himself in you.

Sonship means that you are the expression of Christ and the manifestation of our Father. We can live in this radical reality or not. We can place layers of religion and self-effort around it, dilute it with ‘our perspective’ and insulate ourselves from it in a law constructed culture. But if we do we will have perpetuated the lie of the fall. Extended the fall in the assumption that Father cannot be trusted and therefore it is up to us add something to the project of being like God.

There is nothing so poor as that which has added something to the gospel of Jesus and the apostles.

It's true that all who take His name belong to the Body of Christ. But all who live in a city may not be living in full vitality or health. Some are in jail. Others in hospital and others in homes for the mentally ill. We have the opportunity to live in spirit and truth as the sons and daughters of God by living in the gospel of Jesus and the teaching of the apostles.

Your inheritance is not to live in ‘beliefs.’ Your inheritance is oneness with God.

Jesus declares,

‘I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—
I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.’

The glory of you is Christ in you. Here you live as a robust daughter/son freed from retardation and lies. The more we live in partisan gospels and self-manufactured separations from God the more we misrepresent God and ourselves to the world.

Insight, wisdom and revelation are found when Christ is our life. As Elizabeth Bowen wrote, ‘To turn from everything to one face is to find oneself face to face with everything,’ in The Heat of the Day.
