Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

Life in the Spirit is life in the new covenant. The Kingdom of God is a function of new covenant mindsets. One can minister droplets of life in old covenant mode and rivers of spirit and life in the covenant. We cannot live or minister in the Spirit and be the Kingdom on any other foundation. Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God. These are sons in union with God. Not in separation.

‘I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing’ John 15.5 NIV.

All life proceeds from union with our Father. This is the ground of our new covenant state of being that locates and embeds us in the fellowship of the trinity and more. They live in us. We and Father are one. Oneness with Father is the source of our advancing wholeness and maturity as life-giving spirits and people who live in wellness of spirit and soul. This is the power for the regeneration of the world - the resurrection life of Jesus up-welling in us.

Old covenant mindsets are subtly separatist. They are the fruit of the belief that we are separate from God. Separated in mind because they are steeped in Adam’s separation and pre-cross distance. They are impregnated with the idea that it is up to us to earn and maintain the connection. Thus those who are not overt but covert legalists will urge each other to ‘keep close to Jesus.’ But who would have thought? We are already close to Jesus because He has drawn us into His relationship with Father and Holy Spirit. Discipline in the Christian way is not about earning closeness to God. It’s about ridding ourselves of ‘veils’ that connote separation from God. It takes discipline to cut through the scrub of religious myth, that seeming rationalism of cunningly devised fables and ploys of the anti-christ spirit.

Non-gospels posing as Christ’s gospel have all or some of the following characteristics:

They add to scripture.
Subtract from the atonement and the person of Jesus Christ.
Detract from our fullness in Christ.
Multiply requirements for salvation.
Claim to be non-sectarian but are innately divisive.

The gospel of the Kingdom is profoundly simple yet all encompassing. Jesus declared in emphatically with these words:

‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14,20. This is the essence of the new covenant and of Kingdom life.

Utilization of spiritual gifts is not life in the Spirit. Life in the Spirit is John 14.20. Our life in the Spirit and our use of spiritual gifts are rooted in this union. The fact that we are in Christ and that Christ is in God means that we are positioned in the trinity and they reside in us. We belong here as family. The anointing, life in the Spirit and ministry in the Spirit is a function of our rootedness in Father - rootedness that has been restored because Christ did it. This is our new covenant truth and new creation vitality.

Paul wrote, ‘I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way’ Eph 1.18-23 NIV.

Jesus is more than the means to life. He is our life. Today the fullness of the God-head bodily dwells in you.
