His life as your life

The gospel of the Kingdom is amazingly simple and simply amazing. It’s not a contract, not a series of religious hoops. It’s Christ in you. This is not Christ rattling around in you empowering you to meet the criteria of a religious agenda. It’s Christ manifesting as you.

This is incarnation and this is Christ come in your flesh.

The gospel of Jesus, Paul and John is more simple and more radical than most people realise. It’s not a religion. It’s Jesus expressed by the Spirit in you and all who believe.

You manifesting as son/daughter of God transcends every detail of religion that has ever arisen.

Our aim as Believers is not to assemble a bunch of proof texts that we have joined to support our proprietary ideology. Our calling is to be dwellings of the Christ and Expressors of His Person. Let’s put that another way. An authentic faith is not something that we have arrived at as a result of a creative joining of scriptures that have no real relationship to each other. An authentic faith springs out of who Jesus is, what God did in His Son and who we have become as a result. Aligned with His Gospel we are sons. Attached to any other gospel we are workers and slaves.

‘But what does Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son’ Gal 4.30 NIV.

“Let’s note Paul’s primary criterion for authentic faith, which is quite extraordinary: “Examine yourselves to make sure you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you acknowledge that Jesus Christ is really in you? If not, you have failed the test” (2 Corinthians 13: 5–6). So simple it’s scary!” (1)

Christ is both in us and interwoven into our being. Being of the one body with Christ happens this way: ‘You will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20 NIV.
