We don’t have to be dormant. We can know that we are always alive in the moment and the season because we are the manifestation of God – not as a bit of God but as God’s fullness. Just as ‘In Christ dwelt the fullness of the god-head bodily so this fullness dwells in you. You need to know that God is not in you more on special days or in special places or because you are doing something called ‘religious’ instead of secular. God is in you because God is in you.
CHRIST AS YOU
Enough of getting all mournful and sad at the Lord’s Table. It’s not only about the cross. It’s about the fact that He becomes you – His life as your life. We can live a relaxed life in Jesus because He graces our lives.
“As I watch Catholics receive communion at Mass, I notice that some, after taking the bread and wine, turn toward the altar or the sacred box that reserves the bread and bow or genuflect as a gesture of respect—as if the Presence were still over there. In those moments, I wonder if they have missed what just happened! Don’t they realize that the Eucharist was supposed to be a full transference of identity to them? They themselves are now the living, moving tabernacle, just like the Ark of the Covenant.” (1)
THE UN-SEIZED DAY
Actually a lot don’t realise this – even though it’s the foundation of the Kingdom and the engine of new creation life. Jesus and the trinity manifest as you, as the church and society: Oneness. You are called to live in this oneness and where applicable forsake that poverty mentality of old covenant separation.
