Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

Jesus not only offers the world life. He is life itself. He sets us free from living as sin absorbed workers to life multiplying sons. Sons live out the fullness of life because those who have the Son have life. More to the point the Son has them and they live in the Fathers embrace. The law is made for sinners, but sons are made by Jesus.

God has given us life and this life is in His Son. Since it is eternal life this life was in the Son before the world was made. It always was. Just as the Son was and is the expression of the Father, so the Son is also the expression of life. We are truly alive when the Son is us!

All things came to be through the Son and all have their nature and purpose in Jesus.

Those who have the Son have life. Those who have something less than the son do not have life. They can argue that they are alive, define themselves as alive, describe it in the letter but it eludes them in the Spirit. They are not alive in the Spirit of Sonship.

We can be nice people who love Jesus, yet be attached to a ‘Jesus’ who is not the Christ of God but a deformed production of another gospel. A ‘son’ subservient to the law is not the Son who sits beside the Father. This a false christ in the employ of the anti-Christ spirit. The law is for sinners to bring them to account. But Christ is for life and those who live in Him as daughters and sons.

'We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers' 1 Tim 1.9 NIV.

Invisible to themselves, a culture of un-life is all too apparent in those who live from the law. This is vividly described in The Torch and The Sword. There is a woodenness, an inertia and a blindness to light that forms a barrier to the infinite life that is meant to be Christ in us. To live from the law is to be tied to the mundane and glued to the pedestrian. Here one can rise to be a loyal ox but never an eagle. The anointing of Holy Spirit can lead us to TOWADS the fullness of Christ. But the gifts are not THAT FULLNESS. There is no replacement for the union with God that is ours from the abolition of the law and the unification of ourselves with the trinity.

Many have spent their entire lives as Believers never experiencing this day. ‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20 NIV. We need to enter this state of beings so that we are part of His Body in spirit and in truth. Rooted in the law we are notionally part of the Body of Christ. Interwoven with God as described by John, we are of His Body in spirit and in truth.

The Holy Spirit lives to reveal the fullness of Christ; to unleash his authority and manifest His glory in every Believer. When Holy Spirit comes to a church or a denomination He comes to ground them in Christ, to reconnect them and establish them as deep rooted in Jesus and one with the heart of our Father. To those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, the Holy Spirit will reveal what is of Christ and that which is not. To the humble of heart He will reveal false doctrine and set us free from understandings that limit what God has done for us in Christ. Succinctly, He has made Jesus our life. He has moved us from law to Spirit and from religion to the Kingdom of God. Yet some are arrogant enough and obstinate enough to ignore the light and remain addicted to their long held beliefs. Consequently they are not transformed.

‘And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit’ 2 Cor 3.18 NIV. In Jesus all veils of misinformation and misunderstanding are removed. We are brought into union with God and we see clearly now.

The sharp woman of God lives in the Spirit. The cumbersome man of religion fumbles in the letter. The context of the scripture below reveals that we are not talking about Bible knowledge or rules. The subject is
The Living Word who is our life.

'For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart' Heb 4.12 NIV.

We have a choice. If we will not relinquish pet beliefs or let go identities that are in things other than Jesus, like our denomination or our ministry or our old covenant notions of our relationship with God, there is a consequence. The Holy Spirit will move on. Our house will be left to us desolate. We will circle the mulberry bush trying to create some new kind of meaning in the ashes of what we once thought we were going to have. A large church, an extensive network or an overseas mission is not an indication of a life in God. Success is defined as the presence of Jesus in us – the power of God as us with authority and life.

Broadly speaking old covenant means living from religion. Specifically it means living from the law. The new covenant is hinted at more than defined. Jesus was it. Paul unwrapped Him. Paul gave Himself to revealing the mystery that was hidden from ages past - the everlasting gospel of the Kingdom that is Christ in you and you in Christ.

It’s there for those who seek 'the more that shall be given to them.' One of its most subtle expressions is found in Galatians 2.20. A powerful rendering of it is Paul’s words, ‘Christ your life.’ Life in anything not Christ is a lie and a burden that dulls spiritual eyesight and leaves us trudging in circles with near empty buckets of dead water.

It’s probable that if we live in the old covenant we will be on our last legs but not know that we are dead. It's called dead men walking. The old covenant represents fading glory. The new, ever increasing glory. The Lord is closing the door on endeavours that refuse to accept what He has already done. He is breathing resurrection life on all whose life is His life. For those who make Jesus Himself their life and join with Him to facilitate Himself as the church, expect an open door, expect new life, new light and the infinite unfolding of His new creation among us.

'In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind' John 1.4 NIV.
