Unless we are born again we cannot see the Kingdom of God. What is new birth? It is preceded by death to our Adam and resurrection to our Jesus. It’s not a change from anarchism to moralism. Not is it a change from secularism to religion. It’s not actually ‘belief’ in Christ.
Christ your life is Jesus’ resurrection as you. It is you as life because it is you as His life – the life that sustains the universe with love and Godly purpose.
Participation in God is yours in Christ as your life – not in religion or belief system or because you have your own contract with God - but because He is your union with God. We need to know Christ, understand what He has done for us and live in who we have become as a result of our being drawn into His life.
Life in the Spirit is simple and fruitful. It involves being yourself in the Christ of God. The effect of this is that you will be living water. Richard Rohr remarks,
IN THE ONE SPIRIT
“Once you know you are sharing in the force field of resurrection, you can always draw on it, live within it, and move out from it. The pressed clay or "dust" of Adam has then become the immortal diamond that is Christ. The breathing into Adam (Genesis2:7) has become the breathing out of Jesus (John 20:22), and you are now sharing the breath of the one Spirit.
The incarnation has become resurrection in you… the price of such momentous realization is that you must first "go into the tomb" with Jesus (Romans 6:4) or at least wait attentively at other people's tombs as the Mary’s did (Matthew 2 7:61).”
This death involves dying to what we thought we life and rising to life without limit.
