Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

Jesus came among us to multiply Himself in all mankind. His intention is that each Believer mediate His life to the unbelieving world as a nation of priests. Where the first Adam labored by the sweat of his brow with limited fruitfulness, the second Adam provides new freedom and unlimited fruitfulness. Jesus came so that all could multiply his life and His ways in streams of living water. This is done in the new and living way of the new covenant where Christ Himself is our life and we touch society and the creation with His resurrection power.

'Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation' Gal 6.15 NIV.

'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!' 2 Cor 5.17 NIV.

In this seasons Jesus wants us to understand the implications of the new covenant for our life in the Father. He desires that we enjoy the love of our Father and reality of His presence in our heart. We are not only seated with Christ in heavenly places. In Christ we are seated in the Father because Jesus and the Father are one. The result of both these revelations is the ability to walk in the authority of sons in spirit and in truth.

The new covenant is expressed succinctly in the Galatians 2.20. Our old Adam is crucified in Christ, yet we are alive in the Spirit because Christ lives in us. Our old fleshly life in Adam is dead. Our new life in the Spirit of Jesus is igniting our being and building the new creation.

'For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive' 1 Cor 15.22 NIV.

Christ our life is general and specific, whole and part, macro and micro. We are both in the time of His hands and in the moment of His Spirit. We live, move [act] and have our being [body soul and spirit] in Father. Jesus is both the way to the Father and in the Father. And we are in Jesus. Thus we and the Father are one. All that pertained to Jesus’ calling and daily mission is ours. By stepping intentionally each day into the gift of His presence, we position ourselves to do only what He is doing in the macro and micro of daily living.

Despite the best of intentions many of us do not multiply the Kingdom of God. We multiply religion because our being is seated with Adam in the old covenant. As a result we exude old creation life. There is no scatter gun approach in new creation action, no flapping about in well-intended religiosity; no filling an occasion with religion or a Bible study we hope might fit. We are always cogent, always relevant, always in the NOW of the Kingdom. We are spirit and we are life. But this is not ours if we are living from the old covenant, a belief system or the letter. In the old covenant we are dead and irrelevant. In the new we are alive and releasing infinite life.

There is nothing random about Kingdom ministry. Nothing contrived. It moves continually from alpha to omega. It is teleological because it embodies the beginnings and the ends of the Father by His Sons. Jesus completed every thing set for Him to accomplish by His Father because He lived in and from His Father. This is our adventure today.

Since you are in the Father, you are a son in spirit and truth. In Father you are filed with His heart, His purposes and His activities. You are liberated from sincere yet random acts of religion. You release life. His life because as a son you are an extension of Father’s being in your domain. In your home and work place you are a priest of God in the order of Melchisedic and Jesus Christ. Since you and the Father are one you are a co-labourer with Jesus in bringing all things together in Him.

All are called to find their identity and purpose in Jesus. The Lord is impressing us that it is He who is our life and not extraneous religious motifs, celebrity teachers or the consumption of church. The Kingdom is not Christian activism. It is life unto life. If what is motivating us is ‘We must do something’ we are not well placed to be doing what He is doing or to be hearing what He might want to tell us. If what are doing comes from a need to join others, to gain attention or be seen as someone ‘with a ministry’ we will live in confusion and find ourselves caught up in other people’s Ishmael’s.

The new covenant delivers workers and slaves from being sons of the slave woman and designates them as sons of the free woman. Bound to Christ sons are also the Bride of Christ. They come out of His side as the new Eve. This Bride is bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. Here Christ has come in the flesh. Yours! The Bride and Jesus are one. The Bride does what Jesus is doing, giving birth to His sons and His projects that are alive with His life and fully in the purpose of His Father and our Father.
