Who or what is God? The short answer is Jesus Christ. That's also the long answer. To see Jesus is to see our Father. To know Jesus is to know God and to begin to understand existence. This is because God is Existence - existence personified. This is why Paul could say, “In him [existence] we live move and have our being, and name Jesus as the Law of the Spirit of Life. This is why Jesus is the logos [John]: the meaning and purpose of all that is. When we consider that God IS EXISTENCE, that GOD IS LIFE and relationship we might understand the folly of arguing that the Ten Commandments depict God's character. God is not that small. God depicts God's character and Jesus is the exact expression of God. To see Jesus is to see our Father. The notion that the law is the key issue of salvation is a serious misunderstanding of God and of our sonship. The key issue is that God is totally trustworthy, that God has secured our belonging in the Holy Family and that in the Christ of God we are sons in spirit and in truth. The notion that obedience to the law is the key issue is seriously mistaken. There is no law that is separate from God and never was. Wholeness, sonship and Kingdom are relationship - union with God. The genius of The Plan is that Christ is in you and by the Spirit,  God becomes you. You don’t become God but you do become a son/daughter of God. That's a very high rank accompanied by great spirit, great life and great authority. This means you are a manifestation of the Christ and of God. You are a son of God in spirit and in truth. The Door to knowing God is Jesus Christ. Agree that He has included you in His life and you will begin to know God and know yourself. As well as this you will pass beyond the knowledge of good and evil into union with God and revelation. When Jesus declared Himself the way, the truth and the life He was saying in effect, ‘I am Everything that is salvation and life. He repeated this to John when He named Himself the alpha and omega - the beginning and the end. This is more than about time. It's about existence. It's about Jesus being our life and our everything - cosmically and personally. In Him is life and that life is the life of all humanity.
