Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

LET'S START WITH A BRIEF HISTORY OF THINGS THAT MATTER. Today we are the sons and daughters of God. Our re-birth began when Jesus was born to Mary. It gathered momentum in the ministry of Jesus and was guaranteed when He shouted, 'It is Finished!' Our sonship was certified and established in Believers when the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost. The new creation is released and multiplied from Believers when we live out the incarnation and become the manifest presence of God as His daughters and sons.

Although people spoke in tongues and received spiritual gifts the significance of the occasion was that the Son of God had come to live in the sons of God. Filled with His Spirit people would become sons in spirit and in truth. In other words no longer would they be limited by religion and its myriad manifestations. They would be one with God, joined to God by His Son and filled with the Spirit of Sonship.

We are in Christ and one with Him when He is our life. Actually we are one with Him even if we do not believe this. But the effect is not activated and it is not our reality until we have the mind of Christ, which is the mindset of the new covenant. Now we are in the Last Adam having left behind the fractured life of the first Adam. We were always children of God. Living in our new covenant inheritance we are sons in spirit and in truth and of the Body of Christ actually rather than merely notionally. As always you are what you believe.

'Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is' 1 John 3.2 NIV.

We are no longer in Adam or Moses. We have been set free from the parts to live in the whole; the whole who is the Rock from which we were hewn. As the new creation we are living stones. In the old we are dead rocks. As sons on earth we are the extension of our Father who is in heaven. The spirit of sonship is not not a description, doctrinal position or a notional construct. It is the reality of Christ in us and as us. This is the son of God manifesting as the sons of God. It is the holy reality that is we ourselves as the sons and daughters of God. We are joined to Father God, one with Him, filled with His Spirit, re-formed in His likeness, being purged of carnality and fountains of heaven's life. Thanks to Jesus we and the Father are one. As such we are ministers of new covenant/new creation life.

As we minister from this reality, from our place in the Father and in the Son, we disseminate God's life. Dwelling in Father's heart and embraced by His arms we release His love and light. We are alive with God's life. There is something Muslims, old covenant Christians and rebels need more than morality and doctrinaire christianity. It's to experience the love of God. But how can they experience it if Christians are living in the stuff of God rather than in the embrace of their Father? Jesus is the way to the Father; the new and living way. In Jesus we are one with the Father and positioned in Him to be holy even as He is holy. Live in your inheritance!

We can give a Bible study and have released merely sand. Anything we do with Christ as our life is spirit and life. Here we are conduits of Trinitarian life.

Old covenant mind-sets persistently give out information rather than the life of God. This is the old and dead way of the knowledge of good and evil.

Still tied to the law and old creation such mindsets are sons of the letter and the letter is what the sons of Hagar speak. But our life in Adam is dead. The life of Jesus is transfused into our being. We live no longer from words on rock. Christ is our life and our being. Jesus is never a means of multiplying the Ten Commandments. He is the living way of replicating His own life in us - filling us with the Fatherhood of sons. Jesus is the means of spirit and in truth. He is spirit and truth.

'I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me' Gal 2.20 NIV.

Something is not life-giving because it is correct. It is imbued with the spirit of life when it is in God. A Bible study is not necessarily words of heaven's life, not even when given with understanding. Abstractions fill a slot but they are never vehicles of the life-giving spirit. Adam Turner writes in the introduction to his book, Saints in the Arms of a Happy God -
'This book is much more than a collection of haphazardly put together writings. It is my heart, my journey, my life.' One with God in new covenant union with God his books is also spirit and life. In new covenant union we are springs of living water for every occasion. In law and old covenant separation we fill an opportunity with a piece of religion. One with Father, the Spirit and Jesus we do only what they are doing intuitively and as an extension of their being.

In the old covenant we are potential sons. In the new we are sons in reality. Turner need not claim to be a life-giver. The heart of the Father is his heart, God's life is His life. A stream of light and life flows from Father and is expressed in the writings of Turner His son. Words are the currency of the old covenant. Spirit/Life is the currency of the new.

If Christ is your life you will give life. Turner has become a life-giver because His life is Father's life and He is a son. He is able to share the life of the Father because He is a son - not theoretically, not doctrinally, not in the letter but in reality because He is a son in spirit and in truth. In sharing Himself this author and those like Him are sharing Father and His life. Because they are sons. Thus they competently minister the Kingdom of new creation life.

'He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life' 2 Cor 3.6 NIV.

Paul spoke words of life because The Life was in Him. Jesus spoke life because He was life - the life of the Father. We speak life, do life, impart life because Jesus is our life. This is how it works.

[Put your name here] 'Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father' John 14.9-12 NIV.

This is the life of Jesus. Here He has described how He ministers and the reason for His authority to give life. But not only is this life. It is our life. He has declared How He ministers through you. His purpose is that when someone sees Joe or Mary they have seen the Father and His love. This is because, as a new creation, you are in the Father and the Father is in you. Everything you do will release His nature, His love, life, reconciling and restoring power. Miracles are a means to the end but they are not the end. Their purpose is to reveal the Father.
