Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

Well its Christmas but it’s more than Jesus’ birth that impacts our life. It’s His life as ours.

Are we up to speed with what heaven did for us in Jesus over 2000 years ago? The cross of Christ put us to death in Adam. Christ’s death put Adam in us to death. But His resurrection made us alive in God. Jesus joined humans to God. By the Holy Spirit, Christ in us places God in us. We are one with God through Christ’s physical act of the cross, by incarnation and by the Spirit of Sonship. We are one as Jesus, Father and Holy Spirit are one. All this through the love of and provision of the trinity.

The new testament is not just ‘not the old testament.’ It the end of you in Adam and the beginning of you in Jesus. In the new covenant Christ is your life – never the law or any formulation or disguised appendage of the knowledge of good and evil.

The tree of death was a tree. The tree of life is the Son of God for you and in you.

The world is dying today because so many are living in Adam. What started in Adam and increased in myriad forms of death was a lie, a misery and a counterfeit life. All life that flows from the father of lies is a lie – the most subtle of these lies is attempted life in religion.

The abuse and demolition of the human spirit and the corruption of the soul flowed from the father of lies through Adam. But it was halted by an act of love. Love put the lie to death at the cross. But the other side of the cross is the resurrection. As life bursts out of the grave on resurrection Sunday we burst out with Him. That Sunday was the first day of the new creation. On Sunday Christ came to life. At Pentecost His life was sent to multiply spirit and life in people.

So there’s more than Christmas and Baby Jesus to take account of. There’s ADULT YOU in a mature understanding of the Kingdom. There’s Christ’s life as your life and your life in the Spirit of Sonship rather than in a body of death. Who lives in a body of death? Anyone connected to the law.

‘For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man’ 1 Cor 15.21 NIV.

The new creation is the omega of the original plan. God lives in the continual present. Heaven is not weeping over the passing of the first creation. Angels are not mourning over the cross or lamenting over a sacrifice past. Shoots of life have come from the cross. A new Eden has come from this grace. Heaven lives in present glory and so should you. This glory is Christ in you each day. Christ in you every day. Christ as your life. The truth of the Kingdom is that when we embrace Jesus as life itself, heaven lives through us. The old creation died on Friday. The new creation began on Sunday. What creation are you living in ?

The fact is, all your Christmases came at once when Jesus rose from the grave. Winter ends and summer rages when you embrace Christ as your life and leave behind religion. What is religion? It’s living in the shadow and missing out on the real.

Sure there are trials, pains, illnesses and death in our journey. But when we live in the resurrection, in the One who is Resurrection, the light shines through. Every circumstances is an opportunity for that ultra-life; that infinite overflow of hope and freshness that is heaven flowing through you. The joy of heaven is to see the multiplication of His life through the people of earth.

Heaven is joined to earth in Jesus. Heaven is manifest in the mall because Christ lives in you! Life does not come from attempting to be like Christ. That’s an impossibility. You become the real you when Jesus manifests by the Spirit in you!

‘This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him’ 1 John 4.9 NIV.

Jesus said to the people, “Lazarus is dead. Now you will really believe!’ How? Lazarus, by now a stinking corps would rise from the dead; rise in the power and life of the only one capable of imparting life; the One who was creator and redeemer. Every thing Jesus did was a sign. Jesus was announcing that people would see life in action. They would see the life-giver.

‘Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them’ John 3.36 NIV.

The difference between life and death among believers is the presence of God. The evidence of the presence of God among us is people and things being raised from the dead. In some places today Jesus is physically bringing people back to life. In other places He brings whole churches to life. In other places he raises dead people from their cemeteries of law and fills them with His personal spirit and life.

Jesus declared, ‘Any one who lives and believes in me will never die.’ They will not succumb to forms of godliness that are a living death. They will not worship routines because they give them stability. They will not seek identities that deplete them of life because they cannot be held by the grave.

Take note ye managers and church politicians. Seek His face all ye hirelings and ecclesiastical magnates. Give pause ye worshipers of the status quo. Take note ye wallowers in your own distorted perspective. There is a king who has a gospel of the Kingdom that will triumph over every shoddy counterfeit and shadow of the real.

As Jesus stood in that huddle of misery near Lazarus’s dead body. His heart burned with anger; burned with anger against sin and death; burned with fury against those who were opposing life on the grounds of convenience or because of their theology. He already knew what some of them were thinking. Let un-life be preserved for the sake of our position and sphere of influence. Let’s kill life when it threatens us our interests and influence. But love is greater than death and has overcome it. This life has a name: Jesus Christ, the life of the world.

‘Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life’ 1 John 5.12 NIV.
