Christ Your life

His Kingdom multiplied through you

a version.001

The Bible says that Jesus is life Himself. So why seek life in things that are not inherently alive? There is a source of resurrection life that is always close at hand. So close in fact that He is in us.

‘Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die’ John 11.25 NIV.

If we believe that Jesus is our life and live from His life, we will live joyfully as life-giving spirits, no matter what experiences of near death we endure. Let me explain.

There are some Latin words that mean the thing in itself. When we use the words sui generis we mean something unique, self-sustaining and self contained. God being “I AM” is the most sui generis One in the universe. He is ultra life. His Son Jesus being God in very fullness, is life itself or more accurately, life Himself.

So there it is. If we have Jesus we have life. If we have something else. We don’t.

‘He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him. No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will. All honor and power to him forever! Amen’ 1 Tim 6.16 NLT.

Anything not flowing from Jesus fades. It came about this way. Because of the fall the life of God in man was dissipated and fragmented. By man came death. But by the Son of Man came the resurrection of the dead – the resurrection of all things dead. When Jesus rose on Sunday morning the crippled creation rose with Him. The creation that had been consigned to death rose from the grave. This resurrection life is Jesus. When Jesus is in you, you are alive and an imparter of life. Life is never found in religion. But it overflows from what I have just described.

‘All life is in the Son. Jesus is life itself and He imparts life to all He touches.’

When Jesus walked about on earth He touched people and they got well. When He touched the woman with the issue of blood the life of heaven flowed into her and her life force stopped leaking out. This can be seen as a figure of the church. Wedded to Adam, Eve (the church) leaks life. All that begins well withers because its source is the flesh. But when Christ is her life she is wedded to Her true husband and she is the new Eve that comes from His Side. She is the source of human populations that are alive with spirit and life. One with the source of life she (the church) births life. Her progeny are alive. No longer ‘product’ from a Christian Industry they are living people, living words and living projects. The Bride does only what her Husband is doing for they are one. The Bride possesses His life.

There is no life in anything that is not Christ. No life in Adam or Moses. No life in the knowledge of good and evil and the law – nothing in the regime of separation, sin and death but infinite life in the incarnation because the fullness of God lives in you.

We do not necessarily produce the life of heaven because we are busy. We multiply life when Jesus is our life. The need of the church is not more activity, more community, more networks, more prophets or more apostleship. It’s not even more faith. Our need is not more Jesus as an overlay to our efforts.

Our need is
for Jesus to become our life and for us to live out of what we have: The fullness of God in dwelling in us bodily. We have one husband who is Christ. One with Jesus, we are who we are, doing what He is doing, witnessing to His glory in ways that reveal our own glory as the sons and daughters of God.

‘When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory’ Col 3.4 NIV.
